Nanjing, also known as “Jinling”, is the capital city of Jiangsu Province. It has long been hailed as the “Ancient Capital of the Six Dynasties” and the “Metropolis of Ten Dynasties”. As one of the cradles of Chinese culture, Nanjing’s cultural influence extends across East Asia, and it is embracing the future of underground space development with an innovative spirit.
As an important practice base for underground space engineering in China, Nanjing boasts a vast underground network of 850,000 square meters, encompassing transportation hubs, commercial centers and cultural facilities, forming a fully functional underground urban system. Leveraging BIM technology, intelligent construction equipment and environmental protection concepts, the project has successfully overcome numerous technical challenges and contributed to the formulation of industry standards.
In recent years, Nanjing has actively hosted international academic conferences to promote high-quality urban development. As a hub for academic exchange, Nanjing provides a platform for global experts to discuss cutting-edge technologies
Nanjing is one of the cities implementing the 144-hour visa-free transit policy for citizens of 54 countries (refer to the latest information from the National Immigration Administration). For more details, visit the official website:
Located at the foot of Zijin Mountain on the eastern shore of Xuanwu Lake, the Jinling STYLE Romantic Center covers an area of 55,000 square meters, with a total construction area exceeding 71,000 square meters and a commercial area of approximately 23,000 square meters. It is equipped with 805 parking spaces for cars and 40 spaces for buses. The center officially opened on December 30, 2022.
Xinjiekou Metro Station is located in the heart of Nanjing and ranks among the busiest transportation hubs in China’s metro network, serving hundreds of thousands of passengers on a daily basis. As an interchange station for Nanjing Metro Lines 1 and 2, it features 24 exits and covers an approximate total area of 76,000 square meters. The station consists of three underground levels: the first level houses the commercial zone and concourse, the second level serves as the platform for Line 2, and the third level is the platform for Line 1. Situated in the core of Nanjing’s “No. 1 Business Circle of China,” the station acts like a web connecting major shopping complexes and office buildings, forming an expansive and convenient subterranean transport and lifestyle system. Additionally, the station features a large cultural gallery showcasing photography exhibitions and city-themed cultural content, serving as an important window for displaying Nanjing‘s urban image and culture.
Nestled beside the Zhonghua Gate Barbican of Nanjing‘s Ming City Wall, the Nanjing City Wall Museum is China’s only national first-grade museum dedicated to the city wall theme. Its most significant “exhibit” is not housed inside but stands outdoors—the historical Ming City Wall of Nanjing, which is over 650 years old and currently stretches approximately 25.091 kilometers in length. The building embodies the design concept of “presenting the wall,” with its L-shaped, green-gray glass curtain mirroring the ancient wall, surrounding trees, and streets, achieving a seamless fusion of architecture and heritage. The permanent exhibition, “The Magnificent Wall,” explores five key areas, including design philosophy and construction techniques, with over 700 inscribed Ming bricks serving as precious artifacts. Through digital technology, the museum has also “moved the wall to the cloud,” establishing the “Cloud Enjoying the Wall” platform, allowing the public to explore this grand, centuries-old project from anywhere.
